Ministries
Peace by Peace is a student-run organization that promotes action and awareness of local, national and international social justice issues. Their witness to justice comes in the form of education of the campus on issues of social justice in our community, in our nation, and around the worls. The group participates in events such as the non-violent protest of the School of the Americas in Fort Benning, GA, letter-writing campaigns for Amnesty International, and they hope to soon begin a living wage campaign on the campus of the College of Wooster.

Christian Education
Christian Education for Children - Westminster, being a Reformation church, is in the process of reforming anew. We are refocusing on peace as a core theology. Christian Education is gathering a collection of story books promoting peace. After looking at the list we have developed, would you choose a book to buy for the children? Please let Mary Kilpatrick know which book you would like to buy. If you have a favorite book promoting peace that is not on our list, we would welcome your suggestion.
Suggested Children’s Peace Books:

Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Doreen Rappaport
Make Someone Smile and 40 More Ways to Be a Peaceful Person by Judy Lalli
A Million Visions of Peace by Jennifer Garrison
King of the Playground by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
The Sun and the Wind: An Aesop’s Fable by Cornelia Lehn
Two Monsters by David McKee

How do you pursue PEACE in your life, personally and publicly? With the topical influence of our congregation’s current refocusing and rededication to one of our most historically constant and publicly recognizable concerns – PEACE, let us join together in Adult Education this year to avail ourselves of new information and to consider new challenges that deserve our attention, consideration, and involvement. We have many ideas/plans and are looking for more. Please join us at 9:30 a.m. in the Church House Lounge on Sunday mornings.
