Important: Beall Avenue Streetscape Project - Summer 2009
Portions of Beall Avenue will be closed throughout our 2009 Summer Season. To avoid construction please use Bever Avenue (one street over from Beall) to travel to Freedlander Theatre. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Please feel free to call the Box Office 330.263.2345 with any specific questions about portions of Beall Avenue that may be closed during your travel to Wooster. The Theatre is located at the corner of Bever Street and University Street, so any construction on Beall Avenue should not interfere with the entrance to the theatre or with parking.
Directions to Wooster
Wooster is easily accessible by car. Approximate driving distances to Wooster are below:
- From Mansfield: 35 minutes
- From Canton: 40 minutes
- From Akron: 45 minutes
- From Cleveland: 1 hour
- From Columbus: 1 1/2 hours
- From Pittsburgh: 2 1/2 hours
- From Cincinnati: 3 1/2 hours
- From Indianapolis: 6 hours
- From Chicago: 6 hours
- From Washington D.C.: 7 hours
Canton
Take Route 30 West for 30 miles into Wooster. In Wooster, Route 30 becomes East Liberty Street. Turn right on Bever Street (Freedlander Theatre is on the right, on the corner of University and Bever).
Akron
Take I-77 South to Route 21 South. Take Route 21 South to Route 585. Take Route 585 west for 21 miles into Wooster to Wayne Avenue. Turn right onto Wayne Avenue to stop sign at Bever Street. Take left onto Bever Street (Freedlander Theatre is on the left, on the corner of University and Bever).
Cleveland
Take I-71 South to Route 83 (Wooster exit). Travel south on Route 83 for 14 miles until you reach Wooster. Once you enter Wooster, turn right on Friendsville Road. Go through four traffic lights until Burbank Road becomes Bever Street (Freedlander Theatre is on the left, on the corner of University and Bever).
Columbus
Take I-71 North to Route 30 East. Take Route 30 East for 28 miles into Wooster. Exit onto Madison Avenue. Turn right off exit and proceed into Wooster on Bever Street (Freedlander Theatre is on the right, on the corner of University and Bever).
