From its humble beginning the Ohio Light Opera company has grown to an internationally recognized lyric theatre company for its commitment to operetta as a viable, enjoyable, and educational art form. The Ohio Light Opera is a twelve-week professional residency company located on The College of Wooster campus in Wooster, Ohio.
Season Repertoire: Fiddler on the Roof by Jerry Bock, Of Thee I Sing by George Gershwin, A Night In Venice by Johann Strauss, H.M.S. Pinafore by Gilbert & Sullivan, Mademoiselle Modiste by Victor Herbert, The Beautiful Helen of Troy (La Belle Hélène) by Jacques Offenbach and Ruddigore by Gilbert & Sullivan.
Season Format: Traditional operettas in a revolving repertory format—the only company offering this format in the entire country! Patrons seek out this venue of multiple performances (More than 60 during 2009 season plus special performances).
Audience Demo: A diverse group of varying ages. The average audience member sees 2-3 shows and stays overnight. OLO hosts thousands of new patrons EACH year.
Cast, Crew, and Orchestra Members: There are 120 individuals who live in the Wooster area during the summer months who along with families and visiting friends patronize restaurants, retailers, professional services and lodging facilities.
Brochure: More than 300,000 people will see the season brochure through direct mail, special destination pick-up sites and insertion into the March 2009 issue of Northern Ohio Live Magazine. This magazine reaches a diverse affluent audience throughout northeast Ohio.
Program: More than 20,000 programs are distributed throughout the summer. Every attendee is personally handed this program at each performance. These same programs stay with our patrons as a convenient reference guide on their return trips to Wooster and your business…for the entire year!
Theatre Lobby: Limited area to display brochures, available to all 1/4 page or larger advertisers.
Invitation to Patron Special Performance: Up to 4 tickets for an advertiser recognition performance or other available evening, a $180 Value.
Online Presence: All advertisers will have recognition on the official Ohio Light Opera website and will recieve the option to have a weblink.
Additional Exposure: Your business will be recommended to patrons planning their stay in Wooster by the Ohio Light Opera box office.

An in-depth study evaluating the economic impact of Ohio Light Opera on Wooster, Ohio was completed in July of 2008. This study concluded that OLO’s existence in the community results in a:
