Annual Reports, Office of Economic Opportunity (PrEx 10.1:)
Established within the Executive Office of the President in 1964, the Office of Economic Opportunity played a key role in President Johnson's War on Poverty by coordinating various federal antipoverty programs. Some of these programs included Job Corps, Head Start, and VISTA. In 1975, the Office was abolished, and its functions were transferred to the Community Services Administration. The Office's annual reports began publication in 1965, although the first report was not published in the Serial Set. (Andriot 668)
