Below are databases for which we have trial access. Give them a try and then let us know your opinon about them. Also, please contact us if you have questions about the databases.
- OhioLINK is currently evaluating ISI's Web of Science database (Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, Science Citation Expanded) and Elsevier's new database Scopus in order to select one as a citation database.
Scopus (Elsevier) - Scopus is an abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. Scopus offers:
- Nearly 18,000 peer-reviewed journals from more than 5,000 publishers
- 38 million records
- Results from 435 million scientific web pages
- 23 million patent records from 5 patent offices
- "Articles-in-Press" from over 3,000 journals

- LexisNexis Statistical DataSets is a Web-based research tool that provides fast and access to more than 12 billion data points from licensed and public domain datasets. You can scan the contents of the collection, select subjects and variable of interest, and view your data in side-by-side tables and charts.
The database is interactive and results are instantaneous. Each time a user clicks on a new element, the elements that are shown in the display area are updated, and a new table, chart, and/or map appear.
