Annual Reports, Federal Home Loan Bank Board/Administration (Y 3.F 31/3:1/, FL 3.1:, NHA 3.1:, HH 4.1:, FHL 1.1:)

Established as an independent agency in 1932, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board governed a system of twelve regional Federal Home Loan banks, supervised savings and loan associations, and provided reserve credit for home mortgage lending. In 1939 this agency began a series of moves to other agencies: first, to the Federal Loan Agency until 1942; five years under the National Housing Agency; and another eight years under the Housing and Home Finance Agency before becoming an independent agency again in 1955. The annual reports began publication with a volume covering 1932 and 1933.
